Community Meetings

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

Tuesdays/Thursdays 6:30pm-7:30pm

We have a speaker meeting with pizza the first Friday of every month. Our business meetings are the last Monday of the month following our regular meeting time.

A NAMI Family Support Group (FSG) meets at Joy Lutheran on the 4^th Saturday of each month 9:00am – 10:30. This is a hybrid meeting (in person and online). NAMI, which stands for National Alliance on Mental Illness, is a national organization with support, education and advocacy for those suffering from mental illness and the loved ones that support them. NAMI Family Support Group is for any adult with a loved one who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition.

These support groups are led by people who’ve experienced these issues themselves, who have been trained using a structured model through NAMI. These are free of cost to participants. All meetings are confidential. More support groups happen online at the link below.  A similar support group, “Connections” for those to experience mental illness themselves is also available through this site. You can also sign up for classes, including Family-to-Family, which is an 8 week course for family members.
