It's Not Too Late to Register: AK Synod Summer Youth TripIt's not too late to register. We are trying to get an idea of how many students we can anticipate from each congregation. Please help us out by registering. If you don't know yet or there are friends you want to invite, you can still register after March 1st but please do so as soon as possible! What: Multi-day Trip to Fairbanks When: June 23-27th Who: Going into 5-12th grade (friends are welcome!) Cost: $100 (initial deposit, cost may increase) (full scholarships available) Deadline to register is Saturday, March 1st Lutheran youth from across the Alaska Synod are coming together a fun event! We will travel to Fairbanks, Alaska for hiking, rafting, service projects, and worship. This is a great opportunity for youth to spend time together! If cost is prohibitive, please let Pastor Sean know. Full scholarships are available with no questions asked. More details are forthcoming as we near the event date. |

Youth Interfaith Visit: Congregation Beth SholomConfirmation Students (High School invited too) are visiting with Rabbi Abram and our friends at Congregation Beth Sholom on Friday, March 21st. We will attend their Shabbat service at 6pm and afterwards Rabbi Abram will spend some time explaining aspects of the Jewish faith. It is such a gift to have their congregation welcome our students to learn and ask questions. Our students had an outstanding experience the last time! This experience is strongly encouraged for all Confirmation students. High School students are invited to attend also! If you or your student are interested in attending, please register below so we know how many people are coming and how many drivers we need. The carpool will leave Joy Lutheran Church at 5:15pm.
