We are hosting this year’s Alaska Synod Assembly!

Friday, April 25th – Sunday, April 27th

 

Each year, every ELCA congregation and worshipping community in Alaska send delegates to the Synod Assembly. This annual gathering celebrates the ministries we share in our synod and conducts the business of the synod including electing council members, approving the spending plan, passing memorials and resolutions, and more. Accompanying this work are workshops, networking, worship, ministry displays, sharing of Faith Stories, presentations and more! One of the best parts is seeing the breadth and depth of God’s love in action amongst our ELCA congregations.

Hosting the Synod Assembly is a labor of love and planning. It will require contributions from each of us and there will be many opportunities to help!  

Currently, we are seeking a Planning Coordinator or Co-Coordinators. This person(s) will act as a liaison between the Synod Office and assign tasks to volunteer groups. There are written guidelines and suggestions from the Synod and past host congregations to help navigate planning. Pastor Sean and our Office Administrator, Ericka, will also support the Coordinator/Co-Coordinators with the tools they need.
