Our worship is described as liturgical - meaning it follows a particular pattern full of singing and prayer. Worship is something in which we all participate - including our youngest ones! We live into being a small church by inviting creativity and engagement between the generations. The highlight of worship is hearing a message of Good News and sharing in the Lord's Meal together. Join us in person or online!
We love kids in worship! Worshiping as a family is important. To help kids be engaged in worship, we have a children's message with Pastor Sean, activity bags, a children's bulletin with activities and coloring pages related to the day's scripture reading, and a kid's area in the back of the sanctuary with puzzles and more. As kids grow up, we even invite them to help during worship! Learn more here!
We practice an open table. All are welcome to receive holy communion. You do not need to be a member of Joy Lutheran Church or any other church. Holy Communion is Jesus' free gift for all people including children.
We are a casual congregation. Wear what is comfortable. Our pastor often wears jeans.
We have a front parking lot located off E. Eagle River Loop Drive and a rear parking lot at the intersection of First Street and Le Doux Street.
All visitors and newcomers are welcome to get involved in ministry! If you want to learn more about Joy, subscribe to our "Notes of Joy" E-newsletter, reach out to Pastor Sean, complete a "Connection Card", or join us at a Newcomer Orientation held twice per year.
