Lutheran 101: Essentials for Faith & LifeJoin us for our final meeting Tuesday March 25th @ 6:00 PM in the narthex. If someone asked you, "What is a Lutheran?" what would you say? Maybe something about grace—Lutherans believe in grace! Absolutely. But is that all? Lutheranism is more than just a belief system or a style of worship. It’s more than learning the catechism in confirmation class. At its core, being Lutheran is a way of living—one shaped by God’s grace and grounded in a deep understanding of faith, purpose, and daily life. It shapes how we show up in the world—at church, at work, at home, and with friends. Whether you’ve been Lutheran all your life, are new to the tradition, or just curious, this class will explore what it truly means to be Lutheran and how our faith gives us the essentials for living with confidence in God’s love. Come with questions, curiosity, and a willingness to explore faith in a fresh way! |

Midweek VespersWednesdays @6:30pm Come and join our Lenten journey. Our Lenten theme, Bread of Life, highlights how Jesus fed people—not just their bodies but also their souls—with good news, stories of redemption, and parables that showed the way of God’s kin-dom. From wedding feasts to eating with tax collectors to feeding thousands, people left Jesus’ presence with full hearts and bellies. A gift Jesus gives freely so we may give to others. JCDC Update and Request for Legal Assistance
JCDC remains closed as we continue our search for a new director. We are hopeful that the center may re-open in late spring, allowing us to begin rebuilding and welcoming families with toddlers once again. During the closure, the Church Council and JCDC leadership have been working collaboratively to define and clarify the various aspects of our relationship, including ownership, entity registration with the state and municipality, legal responsibilities, insurance, and liability. We are moving forward with a plan to establish two separate entities— the church and JCDC. This structure will provide better liability protection for us both, while giving JCDC greater autonomy over operational and financial decisions. It will also create a clearer and more streamlined understanding of our partnership as JCDC prepares for its re-opening. Both the Council and JCDC leaders are committed to continuing to be strong partners together for our community. To fully implement this plan, we need to consult with an attorney experienced in business entity or non-profit law. If you are a lawyer with this expertise or know of someone who can assist us, we would greatly appreciate your help. Please contact the church office at joylutheran@gmail.com if you can offer assistance. Thank you for your support! |

Would you be willing to host one or two delegates for a few days? All that’s needed is a place for them to sleep, as meals will be provided during the assembly. Confirmation is a three-year program equipping young teenagers to engage more fully in their faith and say "yes" to God's good work in them. Students will study scripture and reflect with the pastor, youth leaders, and other adults in the congregation, learn about the Lutheran perspective on Christian faith, engage in service projects, and learn more about worship practices. At the end of the three years, students have the opportunity to affirm their baptism before the congregation and then we throw a party to celebrate God's work of love and grace in their lives! **Please note that there is no Confirmation on Church Brunch Sundays (2nd Sunday of each month) For more infomation visit:
